Windhull and Tree Catch
Windhull and Tree Catch were two large, temporary, sculptural pieces created during the artist in residence program in ICCA in Inverness on Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2017.
These temporary sculptures combined two fallen trees from the grounds with collected, recycled building materials from the neighborhood, like old window panes and slats or molding strips.
The constructed pieces were extensions of the natural form of the tree, mainly made with re-shaped trees: wood. They were flexible and open to the natural life and elements of the island and got eventually blown away by a mini hurricane.
