air
Loops is a series of space explorations. Encircling, enclosing space, describing flight patterns. Air and light are important, as is chance. Going in circles, trying to catch what was there.
These works have a feel of something exposed, stripped or abandoned; an interior structure laid bare, maybe not completely meant to be seen.
Like many of my series, Loops feel architectural in their linear being and behave like drawn depictions of spaces.
They have the urban and handmade character of constructivist art and in those terms refer to analog machines. They obey the rules of gravity which, together with the tension of the wood, determines their shapes.
